It is pretty easy to join our club
STEP 1
You will need to have an
Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) membership. There
is an annual fee for your AMA membership. One of the many benefits
of this is the insurance you receive as a member of AMA that offers
you liability protection for you and the flying club.
There are incentives for younger people to get involved. Any person
under the age of 19 can
join the AMA for a substantially reduced fee. The RCACF offers a free RCACF
membership for anyone under the age of 19 as of July 1st of the
membership year. Any
person under the age of 18 must have their guardian sign a
guardian consent form and the guardian must accompany the 18 and under junior
member when they are flying at the field.
STEP 2
The next step is to fill out our
RCACF New Member Application
Form, and (scan it and email it to
membership@rcacf.com ) or
( mail it to our mailing address ).
The annual
membership fee for the RCACF is generally $175 (with exceptions), the form has pricing
details.
If you've never flown an RC aircraft before, or are just rusty, we
have a club trainer that you can use under the supervision of one of
our flight instructors to get you trained up to the point where you
are comfortable soloing and our Flight Instructor is ready to approve you for solo
flight.
All the instructions and what to expect next are in the
application form.
STEP 3
You're in! Come fly with us as much as you want!
